Position Overview The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for directly signing key clients.

Strong knowledge of market dynamics and strong industry contacts are required.

Key Responsibilities Research and understand the market for Diligent’s services, including competitor analysis.Learn, enhance and implement the Diligent sales methodology for the market.Stimulate and create market demand.Identify key market dynamics, create alliances and a relevant, dynamic and influential network.Working with the marketing team, implement the global strategy in a way that has meaning locally to the market, yet remains absolutely consistent with the brand.Nurture and grow existing partnership with the Toronto Stock Exchange.Develop an expert knowledge in the Company’s SaaS offerings.Understand customer needs and help develop solutions through the Company’s offerings.Negotiate and close on an increasing volume of sales targets each quarter.

Required Experience/Skills: This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills.

Additionally, qualified candidates: Have a minimum of 6 years in selling SaaS or technology related products or services with a track record of developing customer relationships and closing sales in new markets.Understand a multifaceted, complex selling process.Have a strong academic record or relevant combination of University education and experience.Have a deep understanding of the Canadian marketplace.Excellent sales and negotiation skillsExcellent writing skillsA passion for problem solvingComplete comfort working in a fast-paced environment.Bilingual French-English skills Physical Requirements Ability to type and/or manage laptop or personal computer keyboard for the purpose of internal and external electronic communication.Ability to see and hear and communicate verbally Mental Requirements Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other informationAbility to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutionsAbility to make decisions which have moderate to significant impact on the immediate team and division and stakeholders/colleagues and be able to monitor that impact Diligent offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including health, vision, dental, 401k with a strong match, health club reimbursement and much more.
