This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted March 19, 2021.

The General Manager will report directly to and partner closely with the CEO, Clayton Ferguson.

This executive will work cross functionally with the entire organization to optimize cash flow, bring accountability, strategically forecast demand, and oversee all eCommerce operations.

This executive will immediately have the finance and purchasing teams reporting directly to them and should be very comfortable managing teams of 20 as they take on more managerial responsibilities.

The GM will either directly be responsible for or oversee vendor management, customer service, shipping experiences, purchasing, scorecards, compliance, inventory controls, etc.This executive will be a strategic, thoughtful, and well-rounded leader in the organization capable of rolling up their sleeves to solve problems with speed.

This person will use data to assess and understand every problem facing the day to day and future operations of the business to optimize cash flow and support top of funnel growth.

This is a large role leading a team focused on doing good for the world by destigmatizing sexual wellness.

This will be a meaningful role in this person’s career.What You’ll Be Doing Manage the P& L of the operations of the business.

Responsible for bottom line goal attainment.

Develop strategies to execute on operational efficiencies with speed.

Track progress of new initiatives and report results.

Direct strategy and financial reporting.

Support CEO with tactical and long-term strategies.

Recruit, mentor and cultivate diverse teams of incredibly smart, mission-driven individuals.

Give them the tools, leadership, and motivation to innovate and make decisions that support the vision of the company.

Oversee regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures and investments.

Manage accounting and purchasing teams and all direct reports.

Support and allocate resources for an effective organizational structure that balances process, accountability and scalability with velocity and innovation.

Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins.

Brief senior managers regularly on the company’s financial status.

Overseeing audit and tax functions.

Oversee and improve SKU management processes.

Own purchasing process.

Forecast inventory and place orders to achieve and balance a high inventory turnover and a low back-order rate; Manage the purchasing cycle, including generating requests for quotes & pricing, purchase orders, delivery schedules, receiving inspection, and final payment.

Identify and solve inefficiencies across the business.

Oversee & resolve pricing, quality, & delivery time issues with suppliers.

Managing vendor relationships and vendor scorecards (compliance/quality control).

Understand supply chain key and service delivery metrics and drive continuous improvement through problem-solving, data analysis and root cause identification.

Ensure proper perpetual inventory levels to minimize lead times and prevent inventory shortages.

Negotiate contracts to include pricing, terms, and conditions to reduce the overall cost to meet quoted costs.

Develop reporting tools & scorecard metrics related to vendor performance, customer service efficacy, warehouse efficiency, inventory, purchasing & other departmental KPIs.

Knowledge on establishing and executing on 3PL expansion in multiple locations (international is a plus).

Requirements BA or BS in Finance or other business related degree.

MBA preferred but not required.

10 years of experience with at least 5 leading and growing teams of 10 total people.

Deep experience with CPG, ideally in eCommerce with an understanding of the operational problems to be solved.

Experience optimizing cash flow of an eCommerce company.

Experience with Xero, accounting software Experience using and manipulating data.

Advanced MS Excel knowledge or experience with other data platforms (Tableau) required.

Experience with Power BI, Automations, Building Automation Templates Cloud-Based WMS software and catalog management / D2C eCommerce is a plus / (1M inventory, 5,000 SKU’s) Experience working in Salsify is a huge bonus Understanding of Transfer Pricing is a bonus Knowledge of python / SQL / VBA a plus Purchasing / Supply Chain background a plus Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and successfully transforming business challenges into effective solutions.
