Data Governance and Master Data are at the very core of all business operations and analytics considerations.

The Data & Analytics Office at BRP is looking for its next superstar to join and lead Data Governance and Master Data Management.

This leader will be key in the success of our newly developed data strategy and will report directly to the Head of Data.

YOUR ROLE In your role you will oversee a team of data specialists who coordinate data maintenance activities within S/4 and surrounding systems.

This is a leadership role where you will be expected to understand the day to day Governance roles and Operations while leading a team who is doing the same.

You will guide the creation of data validation rules while ensuring the team is validating the quality of the work done in data and providing training and guidance.

You will also liaise with the business to build out master data governance, understand their requests and provide leadership in building training and operational policies.

Master Data remains a federated reality with many people across the organization involved in its creation and maintenance.

The role will need to work in a collaborative manner and coordinate with all business users creating and maintaining Master Data Objects.

Moreover as the lead in charge of Data Governance you will also be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of our data catalog along with governing the metadata present in it.

You will work closely with our Security team to define data related policies and ensure they are applied and respected.

You will also conduct similar activities with our Data Protection Office to drive compliance to all relevant data protection regulations.

YOUR SKILLS Management activities including goal setting, performance management, tracking deliverables, recruitment, etc.

Leading employees through personal growth, development, and change Building relationships with cross-functional colleagues to develop knowledge and awareness as a way of improving data quality and team relations Deploying change management techniques to smoothly introduce change into your operational team and within the broader business Governing data in line with policies and procedures to ensure the highest data quality, understanding the impact that data quality has on cross-functional business units Identifying, reporting, and resolving data quality issues through root cause analysis Clearly communicating in written and verbal communications Defining policies, standard operating procedures and ensuring they are applied and followed Deploying data catalog platforms and ensuring they are maintained, used and of value to the organization Leading KPI definitions and following their implementation and adoption YOUR QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in technical, business or digital areas, or equivalent combination of education and business-related work experience.

8 years of total work experience in data management and governance as well as an understanding of how data affects business functions.

5 years of experience working in complex data ecosystems with SAP or a similar ERP driving data governance.

5 years of experience in people management Attention to detail and accuracy in your work.

Group training, public speaking and/or presentation skills.
