Manager FDS training development


This is a Full-time position in Montreal, QC posted August 8, 2019.

Description The Manager, FDS (Financial and Distribution Services)Training Development is responsible for developing and implementing the product roadmap for the FDS Training portfolio and ensuring that the products remain relevant and attractive for the marketplace.

Responsibilities Manage the FDS Training product development lifecycle, for both distance-learning (B2C) and instructor-led (B2B) portfolios, using market and customer knowledge to deliver regular content updates as well major reviews so that the courses are always maintained up-to-date.Develop a NPD (New Product Development) pipeline that takes into account market trends and customer requirements, as well as evolution in IATA standards, to ensure that FDS courses remain relevant for our target audience.Drive the digitalization of the portfolio through a transformation to e-learning and blended learning including the development of specific content for e-learning platforms as well as integration with online and mobile distribution channels.In collaboration with the Training LoB, manage the operational performance of the portfolio including quality control, audits, customer queries and exam processes.Manage the scheduling and organization (including instructor availability) of classroom sessions and monitor enrollments to ensure maximum revenue.Develop a strong working relationship with lead players in FDS transformational activities (e.g.

NDC, One Order, NewGen ISS, etc.) in order to keep ahead of initiatives that can lead to new training opportunities and serve future untapped markets.Maintain a strong relationship with internal and external SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) as well as grow a wide network of potential collaborators through high visibility in IATA and non-IATA forums.

Qualifications and Skills 7 to 10 years of professional experience in the travel industry in a role related to training management and / or learning & development, with a knowledge of key industry playersExperience in implementation of instructional design methodologies and course development especially in relation to e-learning.Understanding and experience of project management methodology and the ability to apply it to daily tasksStrong network in the global Training community including with travel industry thought-leadersAttention to detail, with good organization and multi-tasking skillsOutstanding presentation and communication skills with ability to transmit messages effectively and concisely.The ability to work in a complex, business critical and high profile commercial environment and in ambiguous situations.Fluency in English.
