The Toronto office as grown fromFunction of the role:Weservice a wide variety of customersacross all sectors of industry, therefore the Business Development Manager willwork with a variety of different businesses typically involved in innovation.The Business Development Managers main responsibilityis to generate new business accounts, while being supported by an onshore and offshore Inside Sales team.Main Responsibilities will include:
·Generate leads through researching the market and cultivating your personal network.
·Maintain close contact with consultants, external professionals and associations to identify anddevelop business leads through referrals.
·Manage the entire sales process for all business leads.
·Identify decision makers, schedule meetings, meet qualified prospects, and executeappropriate sales techniques and cycle to close sales.
·Diagnose prospects’ business climates, challenges, strategic needs, and pain points anddevelop a true-value proposal to positively impact their businesses.
·Work with management to develop sales/marketing strategies and to penetrate new markets.
·Managing the full sales cycle includingproposals,
·Directly reporting into the Sales Managerwhile working autonomously andcollaborating withfellow BDM’s, Consultants & Inside Sales.
·Training the inside sales team to generate appointments according to your preference.
·Generate leads and attend meetings regularly every month through networking and generalprospecting;
·Meeting and Exceeding month KPI’s & targets; and Annual revenue target driven.
·Account management of existing clients.Desired experience and skills:
·Minimum 5 years selling to mid & high-market clients.
·Prior work experience with a large consulting firm or in SR& ED or Sales Tax in an asset.
·Full Sales cycle experience essential.
·Knowledge of success fee agreements is an asset.
·Highly motivated, results driven, independent thinker, perseverant and strong senseof initiative.
·Strong customer focus, interpersonal and team oriented skills.
·Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) coupled with heightened listening skills.
·Experience selling sales tax, innovation is an asset.
·High level of business integrity and ethics.
