Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, West, the successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and building relationships with our dealer network in the Calgary, Canmore, Red Deer and BC Kootney areas.Essential Duties Include:Visits retailer/dealer locations on a daily basis to develop strong knowledge of needs – Evaluate dealer skills, needs and build productive long-lasting relationshipsAccountable for achieving specific trimester sales objectives – “Getting the sale” using various customer sales methodsEmploys provided tools to plan and execute a strategic call cycle, with detailed reporting of activities, opportunities, successes, challengesDevelops and conducts dealer presentations including product knowledge training, business planning and marketing plansEducates and advises dealers on Hunter Douglas products, policies and marketing programsProspects new leads and negotiates new account agreementsKeeps themselves and dealers informed of trends and issues relevant to their business Keeps dealers up to date on account and market activityPlans marketing efforts and solicits business without supervisionWorks with retailers to resolve end consumer issues: resolves issues by investigating problems; developing possible solutions; gathering data to support ideas; and making recommendations to managementMonitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, new and current products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques etc.Submits weekly work plans/schedule, as well as monthly and annual territory analysesThis position requires the following skills and competencies: Outside sales experienceTechnical product knowledgeNegotiation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong customer focusInterpersonal skillsAnalysis and decision-making skillsSolution oriented mindsetDetail orientedAnalytical skillsSelf-directed and motivatedAbility/willingness to learn to use office technology i.E SFDC, SAPPlanning and organizational skillsTeamwork and collaboration.This position also requires a valid driver’s license.They will travel to dealer sites on a daily basis and complete administrative responsibilities remotely or from a home office.
