Director, Event Process

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted October 22, 2021.

The Director of Event Process is responsible for developing and executing on the mission of the Event Solutions team.

The Director will lead in adhering to the guidelines, procedures, and processes for determining who executes the production event and all associated execution implications, based on objective guidelines designed to best meet the customer experience needs first and foremost, but with a focus on overall profitably for the Encore organization.

In this capacity, the Director will lead a team of technical and business process experts mobilized against this mission, and partner extensively with counterparts in Sales, Production, Venues, Finance and Operations leadership roles across the business, to ensure alignment and best practices are shared.

The Dir, Event Process role reports to VP, Production & Venues, or National Director Strategic Projects.

Key Job Responsibilities Organizational Leadership
• Maintain vision, direction, and strategy for the Event Process.

• Develop the approach for how the Event Process will operate and execute on its mission.

• Embrace and foster the ability to deliver on Encore’s Purpose to Connect and Inspire, Mission to Join our Customer’s Journey, and strictly adhere to our Core Values.

• Lead the development of KPI’s and create reports to monitor business results.

• Serve as change management champion, by leading team through the process of building organizational understanding of proposed changes, establishing support from key leadership and assisting in the development and management of an implementation plan.

Technical Excellence and Business Process Ownership:
• Coach and mentor team that will serve as organizational expert for all technical phases of an event, and as an advocate for technical excellence across the enterprise.

• Lead the partnership of the Event Process with Sales, Production and Venue Leadership to establish guidelines and rules of engagement for all key phases of event flow.

• Partner with team members to establish clear and consistent business processes to provide a seamless experience to both internal and external Customers, including key processes such as Risk Priority methodology.

• Lead ESG in development of proper business planning procedures.

• Ensure all financial reporting is completed in an accurate and timely manner.

• Lead the partnership with the Production Team and Senior Leadership to manage and lead the development and implementation of Technical and Production Standards across all regions and lines of business.

• Manage human resource related issues including performance management, salary administration, training and development and strategic human resources planning.

Job Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree required
• 7 years of audio-visual experience
• 7 years of sales/customer service experience
• 5 years of operations supervisory/management experience
• Proficiency with computer software and programs, including the Internet and Microsoft Office
• Exceptional strategic planning and influence skills
• Strong organizational leadership skills
• Regional Management /Multi Location Management preferred but not required
• Drives Vision and Purpose Office Work is generally performed at an office that is moderately quiet.

Team members will visit other work locations for meetings or for other business reasons.

Working times will include days and may include evenings, weekends and holidays.

Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore.

This position requires up to 75% travel.
