With 100+ branches across Canada and over a thousand employees, Our client is the Canadian market leader in electrical distribution. Responsible for success of the branch, the Branch Manager will coach and lead a high performing team to achieve the branch’s targeted sales, profitability and expense budget. In this role, you will develop and maintain relationships with key customers and vendors, ensure effective sales and manage branch operations.

The Branch Manager is responsible for the effective sales & operations of the Branch. He/she is accountable for building a high performing team, meeting the Company customer service standards and achieving the Branch’s targeted sales, gross margin and expenses budget.

Develop new accounts & maintain relationships with branch customers and key vendors;

Ensure a high level of customer service, awareness of accounts payable issues, responsive to customers’ needs in an efficient, accurate and professional manner;

Provide direction, coaching and leadership to all branch staff;

Provide effective tools and resources to ensure employees engagement;

Develop/implement training matrix;

Ensure all employees are trained;

P&L responsibility of the branch, managing the inside & outside sales teams, budgets, expenses, and inventory;

Maintain showroom/display area and coordinate customer/supplier functions in conjunction with sales team (i.e. counter days, product sessions, and barbecues);

Ensure compliance from all employees with all health and safety policies, procedures and regulations.


At least 5 years of experience within the electrical distribution industry or a combination of education and experience;

Proven ability to manage employees effectively while working on multiple projects;

Previous experience analyzing financial reports and developing appropriate implementation strategies to meet/exceed fiscal plans and goals;

Proven record of achieving revenue targets;

Strong communication, problem solving and leadership skills;

Proficiency in MS Office applications.
