Fast paced, growing transportation provider needs an efficient, client focused, Driver with the initiative and drive to help continue to expand our business.

If you enjoy working in a steady environment, for a company where both employees & clients truly matter, then this is the job for you.This part-time Driver position will be primarily responsible for local, cross-border pick-ups, and deliveries in the Detroit & Windsor areas.The successful candidate will be working at least 28 hours per week and will be covering various shifts when our regular full-time drivers are scheduled to be off.

What You Will Be Doing: Perform vehicle inspection at start & end of shiftPick-up & delivery of freight in the Detroit & Windsor areas, in a timely, efficient, and safe mannerDriver may be required, as needed, to load their own freight by way of a pallet jack or forklift (training can be provided post-hire if needed)Ensure all applicable paperwork for shipments is completed accuratelyMaintain/submit accurate driver logs, as requiredRepresent Farrow in a professional, courteous manner at all times, as well as maintaining our exceptional client service standards.

Our staff wears a uniform.Working some Canadian Holidays, over the course of a year, as neededOther duties, as needed The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience with cross-border shipment activities, such as interaction with US & Canada Customs Officers, knowledge of procedures, customs clearance requirements (PAPS/ACE, PARS/eManifest), etc.Thorough knowledge of the Detroit & Windsor areas (navigation skills)Ability to operate a cell phone (with email) and a printerStrong interpersonal, communication, and organization skillsCleanliness to maintain a clean vehicleSafe and efficient driving abilities and habits.
