IT Business Sales Manager

This is a Full-time position in Montréal, QC posted February 10, 2019.

Itergy has an exciting management opportunity for new business development around our global managed services. The new manager, reporting to the President, will be responsible to build the quantity and the quality of our Business Development Managers team. Territories covered include current offices in Montreal, Toronto and the UK.The role requires someone who will work closely with both marketing and product managers to build, market and sell cloud and digital transformation consulting and managed service offerings.

Job Duties:

  • In charge of recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in sales team; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Makes sure team quota is achieved or preferably surpassed.
  • Achieves sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; resolving problems; implementing change.
  • Meets sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Collaborates with Marketing by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
  • Identifies opportunities by pinpointing consumer requirements; defining market, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
  • Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
  • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A university degree in business studies or a related field is required.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience in new business sales and IT industry is required.
  • Experience in developing sales strategies.
  • Proof of previous sales success.
  • Strong network of connections in Enterprise.
  • Strategic planning skills, problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
