Assistant Credit Manager/ Collections

Well-known Montreal based international designer, importer and distributor of Men’s, Women’s, Boys and Girls wear seeks experienced Assistant to report to the Credit Manager.  High volume, fast-paced creative environment commands a self-starter who is hard-working, personable and flexible to maintain our mainly American major distributor Sales market.


  •  Maintain corporate credit policy.
  • Handle all credit issues with boutique business, while keeping management aware of specific new challenges
  • Review orders-on-hold report to follow up on delinquency and/or credit limit issues
  • Review credit applications for new customers
  • Work closely with sales and management team on customer credit issues
  • Manage customer credit files
  • Work with Credit Manager to negotiate customer terms
  • Monitor deductions taken by customers
  • Other duties as assigned


  •  Ability to multi-task and complete multiple projects within deadline
  • Experienced with EDC process (export credit insurance and bonding
  • Must be hands-on
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications and negotiation skills in English
  • Must be highly organized and have strong time management skills
  • Keen sense of detail while also able to see the big picture
  • Computer proficiency must include Word and Excel; knowledge of Momentis a plus
  • Ability to work in a friendly, small team-focused group of employees with diverse backgrounds
  • Minimum of five years of experience in similar fast-paced distribution environment


  •  35K-45K Per Annum Based on experience.
