Merchandise Coordinator

This is a Full-time position in Montréal, QC posted February 7, 2018.

The Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for acquiring, tracking and organizing all branded products, from inception through the production process, including the creation of brand catalogue (paper and digital). The Coordinator could, as needed, act as on-set stylist, as they prepare all merchandise for the catalogue shoots. The Merchandise Coordinator will report directly to the Production and Creative Teams. In this role, the Merchandise Coordinator will handle all aspects of brand management for a high-volume importer, including inventory control, product tracking, and sample logistics to ensure all production and style guidelines are followed and timelines are met. The coordinator will have an excellent attention to detail, focusing on minute details of the job as they work with evolving inventory management systems.


  • Determine schedule of daily merchandising tasks and required preparation for orders Track
  • Receive and unpack sample shipments
  • Oversee all samples throughout the production process using internal/external inventory systems
  • Ensure flow of product to the needed production location throughout the production process
  • Communicate styling/brand/shoot information to photographers, producers and other stylists
  • Act as a liaison between design and factories to gather all relevant and necessary product information and to help resolve any product issues
  • Liaise with clients to facilitate the timely & accurate delivery of production orders
  • Partner with president to ensure timely delivery of work, based on established timelines, and maintain production priorities
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and solve any issues that occur throughout the production process
  • Help maintain and organize sample and prop storage areas
  • Work with sales to secure missing samples When needed, she/he will work as an on-set assistant, preparing samples for photo shoot.


  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Computer savvy with advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and information-gathering skills
  • Strong customer service skills Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills and working with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
  • Results-focused, team-oriented, innovative, mature, and articulate Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently; self-motivation a must Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment.
