Salary(Grade:10) Hiring salary range $70347-$88,861 Position Purpose Provides strategic and tactical communications advice to the University Librarian, Library senior leadership team and Library employees.

Conducts ongoing needs assessment to ensure an effective Library communication strategy, recognizing diverse audiences including Library employees, students, faculty, other members of the university community, donors and the community at large.

Develops key Library publications and communications tools.

Acts as the integrator that ensures that key Library messaging across all channels are consistent, aligned with and serving to advance strategic priorities.


Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in communications or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experienceA minimum of five (5) years experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of communications and marketing projects Key Competencies Key competencies required at the University of Ottawa:Planning: Organize in time a series of actions or events in order to realise an objective or a project.
