Salary(Grade:10) Hiring salary range $68960-$87,110 Position Purpose The Alumni and Community Engagement Lead plans, develops and implements an alumni and community engagement program with the primary purpose to establish and grow a strong culture of affinity and engagement among uOttawa alumni, future alumni and strategic community, government and industry partners.

The Lead raises awareness of faculty successes and stimulates collaborative opportunities between the faculty and its community of alumni, future alumni and industry partners.

Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration or other relevant field Knowledge of the University of Ottawa’s mandate, mission, objectives and culture 3 5 years’ experience in public and/or alumni relationsExperience in human resource managementProven abilities in building collaborative and successful working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholdersSuperior interpersonal and communication skills, strong listening skillsStrong organizational skills and proven ability to prioritize multiple tasksDemonstrated initiative and self-starting qualitiesExperience in the production of communications material and ability to effectively use social media, experience with web page creationKnowledge of computer based methods, techniques and software to develop documents, reports and presentations and retrieve information and data.Required to occasionally travel, work nights and weekendsSuperior communication skills in French and English (verbal and written)Must be able to exercise professional discretion Key Competencies Key competencies required at the University of Ottawa:Planning: Organize in time a series of actions or events in order to achieve an objective or a project.
