UEM ENGINEER – Montreal, Quebec – REMOTE


This is a Full-time position in Montreal, QC posted August 23, 2020.

NO THIRD-PARTY VENDORS UNIFIED ENDPOINT MANAGEMENT (UEM) ENGINEER Taos is immediately hiring a Unified Endpoint Management Engineer to work for Taos on our Managed Services teams.

This is a full-time permanent position with Taos and will be located Montreal, Quebec but working remotely from home.

Who you are The Unified Endpoint Management Engineer role is will be responsible for the overall architecture and deployment of a Unified Endpoint Management solution Microsoft Intune, for the management of both client systems and mobile devices.

This includes but is not limited to planning, design, implementation and management of the entire architecture, infrastructure, and application.

What you’ll be doing bull Perform assessment of current SCCM architecture with the intention of identifying issues related to design, health, and functionality.

bull Designing, Planning, and Implementing a Unified Endpoint Management solution for Taos.

bull Managing custom roles and security scopes bull General monitoring of related infrastructure health.

bull Planning, configuring and implementing a backup plan to mitigate the loss of UEM services in the event of a disaster with the least amount of data loss possible.

bull Completely document the newly implemented UEM infrastructure and architecture.

bull Develop reports using UEM data to aide in asset management activities.

bull Deliver training to the primary users of UEM who will be deploying patches and applications on the configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting processes.

bull Deliver training to the infrastructure team on the support needed to maintain the newly deployed UEM infrastructure if any.

bull Analyze current OSD methods and determine if UEM can be used to improve the current process.

bull Implement Windows Autopilot for Windows 10 deployments in a POC scenario to determine best path forward for OSD at Taos.

bull Define and develop policies, processes, and procedures as it pertains to the use of UEM for Taos.

What you’ll bring with you bull 2 years working with SCCM or other endpoint management solution as a technical lead.

bull Solid grasp of standard clientserver, Networking and Internet fundamentals bull System Center Configuration Manager 20072012Current Branch Infrastructure Design bull Experience in a medium to large environment bull Outstanding knowledge and technical proficiency managing an Endpoint Management solution.

bull Troubleshoot all aspects of the UEM solution effectively and understand the product flow encompassing software distribution, patch management, operating system deployment and logging in detail bull Experience designing, deploying, managing, and configuring virtual and physical workstation environments using Windows 10.

bull Experience with enterprise desktop deployments and management, including application package development and enterprise system refreshes.

bull Ability to create and manage profiles, manage apps and create compliance rules using an MDM platform (IntuneSCCM).

bull Ability to create, troubleshoot and run PowerShell scripts as it pertains to endpoint management.

bull Ability to manage Android and iOSiPadOS within Intune.

Knowledge of and experience with Azure, Office 365 Administration, and client applications.

bull Experience Supporting Data Encryption (BitLocker).

bull Ability to communicate moderately difficult technical matters to internal customers.

bull Experience managing MacOS in the Enterprise.

bull Experience administering an Active Directory environment.

bull SQL, IIS, WSUS, AD knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

bull Understand the fundamentals of WMI.
