The Logistec family is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Technical Support-Health, Safety and Environment to carry out health, safety and environment activities. This is an opportunity for the right person to demonstrate their ORGANIZATION SKILLS. You will be responsible for ensuring that all of your tasks are carried out with ACCURACY and in a TIMELY MANNER.

Your new responsibilities:

  • Maintain effective implementation of Sanexen and Logistec’s HSE programs in support of the HSE Directors;
  • Develop KPIs to effectively monitor the HSE program;
  • Collect data from various subsidiary companies and assist them in creating KPIs;
  • Prepare monthly HSE statistical and progress reports;
  • Provide leadership and coaching while setting an example of safety practices;
  • In collaboration with HSE Directors, identify ways to improve efficiency of HSE program and develop tools;
  • Ensure follow up on various projects;
  • Ensure that adequate processes are being used in investigation and root cause analysis; 
  • Coordinate with different business units and support groups (quality, HR, warehouse, communication, etc.).
  • Develop trend analysis on inspections and other tools;

You have the right qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in HSE or a related field;
  • At least three (3-5) years of experience in Health, Safety & Environment or a related field;
  • Knowledge of OSHA and CalOSHA regulations;
  • Knowledge of Federal and Provincial HSE legislation;
  • Ability to communicate in English and French, both spoken and written;
  • Ability to travel to our South Shore location two days per week;
  • Experience in continuous improvement, 5S, kaizen;
  • Knowledge of IT, web-based tools;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), including Visio.
