We employ the latest technologies to deliver a robust and scalable technology stack that will support our global reach and provide a seamless user experience.The SSENSE tech team is looking for a highly talented QA Analyst who will be responsible for the governance and QA oversight across the Agile delivery teams with their allocated domain.

The QA Analyst will be the point of contact for Agile teams in the matter of Test activities, Environments, and Coaching QA best practices, coordinating across other Agile teams and/or domains to ensure quality and testing are executed to deliver high-quality software on time.Whether you are seeking your next challenge or want to share your subject matter expertise, join us for a unique personal and professional experience that will accelerate your growth.ResponsibilitiesProduct Delivery (20%)Attend all Scrum ceremonies of the assigned Agile development teams, up to 2 squadsWork closely with the Agile development team which includes Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholdersAnalyze and perform ambiguity reviews of business requirements and functional specification documentsOwnership & Accountability (40%)Own the quality of the product delivered by the assigned Agile development team(s), reviewing the creation, preparation, maintenance, execution of test plans, and test scriptsConduct quality assurance reviews on team deliverables and existing features for completeness and correctnessReview and address corrective actions to ensure that root causes are addressed for every bugCoach the team of Developers on best practices to deliver against quality targetsQuality Strategy (20%)Plan testing schedules and assignments, escalating time projections during the planning phaseIdentify potential test candidates for automation in collaboration with the Tech Lead and Product Manager of the assigned Agile development team(s), escalating during the planning phaseCollaborate with the Quality Assurance Lead and/or Automation team for prioritization, monitoring the progress and keeping the Agile development team(s) in the loopSupport (20%)Use business knowledge of applications to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving highly complex test problemsGather data for quality assurance auditing from the assigned Agile Development teams and communicate to Senior QA AnalystCoach and mentor more junior team membersParticipate in the hiring process and on-boarding process for new hiresOn board new, more junior QA AnalystsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related technical fieldMaster’s degree, further education or experience in engineering, computer science, an asset3 5 years experience in versatile Quality Assurance rolesMinimum of 1 year of experience as a Coach/Train/Mentor on QA principlesExperience working in an Agile environmentExperience with defect tracking and management (TestRail, Jira)Experience with client-facing web and mobile applications, native mobile applications (iOS)Demonstrated knowledge of testing methodologies and software development life cycle; exposure to multiple project execution methodologiesKnowledge and experience working on Microservice Architecture, an assetKnowledge in SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), an assetUnderstanding and differentiation of the various types of testing (unit, smoke, functional, integration, system, user acceptance, regression, performance, and usability testing)Bilingual in French and EnglishAdditional InformationHighly analytical and detail orientedAbility to evangelize, influence and convince Demonstrated ability to transfer requirements into use cases and test casesAbility to identify additional test scenarios outside documented requirementsResult oriented with strong troubleshooting skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in managing day-to-day QA tasks for multiple teams
