This is a Full-time position in Montreal, QC posted August 9, 2019.

The goal of the Risk Department is to mitigate financial loss to the company through proactive merchant review and analysis.

This position reports to the Manager, Risk Operations.

The Risk Analyst Candidate will proactively review Nuvei’s merchant portfolio for Fraud and Credit Risk.

The Candidate will utilize a host of risk monitoring tools to review and analyze merchant activity, business structure, and financial exposure.

This information will be used to determine whether adverse action is required to prevent loss.

Main Duties / Responsibilities Monitor merchant processing activity for exceptions outside of approved parameters.

Identify, investigate and report potentially suspicious activity.

Make decisions regarding the disposition of merchant processing activity to mitigate losses to the company.

Assist in the mitigation of losses by ensuring activities are an accurate representation of merchant’s business model.

Provide various reporting to management.

Any other tasks as assigned.

Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Functional Proficiencies Bachelors in Finance or the equivalent in relevant experience and training.

2 years’ experience in risk management and/or underwriting.

Strong analytical skills.

Experience in bank or bank card industry.

Good practical knowledge of Excel.

Good business sense.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Language English (written and spoken) is the language used 99% of the time, as work colleagues and clientele are both geographically dispersed within and outside of Quebec.

Internal communications between colleagues occur in English or in French, depending on the parties involved.

Strategic suppliers are located outside of Quebec.

A basic knowledge of French is required for any position located within Quebec.

English is required for this position, as it could report to someone outside of Quebec, and requires frequent out of province communications.
