This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted October 15, 2021.

Mining Planner Permanent position position to fill 1 Code IN21-13 Work location is in Nunavik deadline to apply October 8th, 2021 The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks paid i.e., 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks paid to rest.

Future challenges Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, the Mine Planner is responsible for planning, organizing, designing, and ensuring the development of various mining works for an open pit and an underground mine.

His main responsibilities include: Develop potential mining methods and put mining cycles in continuous improvement.

Plan underground infrastructures.

Plan and develop the work according to plans and specifications, for the short and for the medium term.

Participate in lifting, picketing, surveying, and ventilation work.

Carry out site visits and participate in ventilation works.

Develop optimization projects for the mining operations.

Coordinate interactions between the engineering department, mining department, Allammaq, Environment and others.

Work in conjunction with service providers and consultants in various fields.

Process, verify, validate, and compile the various data obtained.

Produce activity reports and ventilation statements.

Meet the company’s health and safety requirements and recommendations.

Perform other related tasks associated with this position.

what we are looking for Hold a university degree or a mining technique.

Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.

Mastery of mining to ensure that production has all the necessary tools to progress.

Knowledge of Surpac, Promine, Autocad and Deswik; surface and underground mining methods.

Hold a valid class 5 driver’s license.

Hold the general permit for handling explosives as well as the FMTM modules (1-5
– and 7).

Nice to have Experience in the production of magmatic deposits of the nickel and platinum group.

Good knowledge of MS Office suite software.

Bilingualism (French and functional English).
