Metallurgist intern

EMPLOYMENT STATUS : TEMPORARY (4 MONTHS)

NUMBER OF PEOPLE TO HIRE = 1

DEPARTMENT : CONCENTRATOR

PLACE OF WORK : NUNAVIK

WORK SCHEDULE: The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks of rest.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Metallurgist, the metallurgist intern is responsible for carrying out operations relating to monitoring and process optimization. This offer is for a 4 months, beginning May 2018. His mains responsibilities are:

 Execute the required test in the metallurgical laboratory (grinding, flotation, thickening);

 Compile and produce production monitoring report with the metallurgist;

 Measure the wear and tear of the concentrator and other major equipments;

 Keep track of the analysis online;

 Carry out its tasks in accordance with test procedures and health and safety, hygiene and environmental standards;

 Conduct mill study projects;

 Support to the operations of optimizations of the laboratory and concentrator;

 REQUIREMENTS

 Student in Metallurgical or Mining or Chemical Engineering ;

 Experience in a flotation plant will be considered an asset ;

 Experience in an industrial or laboratory environment ;

 Good knowledge of MS Office ;

 Bilingual (English and French).

 Have a scientific spirit with a mathematical sense;
