Licensed Insurance Representative

This is a Full-time position in Montréal, QC posted January 12, 2018.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As the Licensed Insurance Agent, you will speak to potential clients that have been contacted by the promotional marketing agents. It will be your responsibility to continue the conversation about life, accident and sickness insurance products with those who are interested.   The Licensed Insurance Agent will promote and validate the appropriate life,accident and sickness insurance based on the customer’s needs. He will also be accountable to drive the sales growth and to contribute to overall targets.

Provide sale, cross-sell and up-sell recommendations to potential clients

Review and complete insurance needs analysis and provide recommendations on insurance

Assist clients with enrolment for life, accident and Sickness insurance products

Review insurance enrolment and processes for adequacy and accuracy

Ensure appropriate policy requirements are completed and submitted

Adhere to privacy, insurance and other financial services regulations and procedures

E&O Insurance, licensing, continuing education and CSF Membership Feesto be paid for by Gexel.

Escalate issues, concerns and trends to business management.

Required Qualifications 

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a client-centric approach. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Full LLQP license in Insurance of Persons required   

Satisfy Continuing Education requirements

Flexible working hours: 9am to 11pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 6pm Saturday

Fluent inEnglish and French, written and spoken

Familiar with completing insurance needs analysis and providing suitable recommendations and/or solutions

Self-confident, friendly, high energy, enthusiastic with strong interpersonal skills

Previous OBTM experience is a strong asset but not required

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Understanding of Life, Health and Sickness Insurance products as well as marketing tendencies

Pro-efficient with PC skills MS Office (Word, Excel, Internet, Email)

Ability to deal with customers in challenging situations

Problem solving and multi-tasking abilities

Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality

Post-Secondary degree or equivalent business experience

Strong sales, negotiation and interpersonal skills
