IMMEDIATE INTERIM OPPORTUNITYInterim Chief Information Officer (CIO)Reports To: Chief Executive OfficerDuration: 6-monthsLocation: Remote (ideally Toronto or Montreal)Our client is a Canadian consumer goods company with a global footprint.They are seeking an Interim CIO to provide excellence in leadership, project oversight and advisory support during an important stage in their IT modernization strategy.The successful interim candidate will conduct an evaluation of the technology function, plan its future state and implement improvements to increase IT process maturity and alignment with the rest of the organization—all with an eye on creating a platform for success for the eventual permanent hire.Key Accountabilities:Create, deliver and maintain a comprehensive global IT strategy/road-map/portfolio to ensure services and initiatives create significant value in alignment corporate priorities; Provide advisory support to the executive team on strategic system conversions and integrations; Lead application development team and enhance the design and implementation process of new applications and modifications to existing tools; Proactively identify challenges and opportunities that might require a change in course; Develop and implement an effective business engagement model to understand the technology needs and requests of the stakeholders.

Implement portfolio and change management processes which ensure the highest priorities of the organization are realized via supportable, scalable solutions; Support M&A initiatives; Develop, deliver and operate robust, scalable, supportable technology roadmaps and platforms with a focus on creating business value; Collaborate with C-suite leaders and key stakeholders; Lead, grow and develop a national client-service focused high-performing team.

Ensure solutions and platforms leverage technology, information, and integration; Create and manage robust operations review processes and measures, establishing service level objectives, measuring value creation, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across solutions and services; Establish effective resourcing models, leveraging internal and external people to deliver projects, changes, and technology operations across the company.

Manage the application support strategy, deployment and ongoing business support; Develop a process to manage the organization’s technology assets; Develop and manage technology data governance and cyber security policies and enforcement, achieving a high level of governance and security standard; Competencies and Requirements:10+ years of experience managing a national or global IT team; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is desired; CIO or CIO-likeresponsibilities with multiple business units / divisions with extensive experience successfully implementing industry leading IT solutions across all domains; Experience creating and managing the IT budget; Proven experience driving change and transformational programs; Strong businessacumen, including excellent business relationship management skills; Expertise managing the people and critical processes that ensure technology infrastructure and operational and application development excellence; Strong communicator and credible leader that will build solid relationships across the organization, define the technology vision and strategy as well as create the operational road-map; Possession of excellent strategic and tactical communication planning and execution skills; LHH Knightsbridge Interim Management is a service to help our clients address a wide range of scenarios including leadership support due to sudden departures, driving key change initiatives or leading transformation projects.
