JOB DESCRIPTION: Please note that the occupation of Handler corresponds to the occupation of Supply Technician in the Canadian armed Forces.

By applying for this job offer, you are applying for a military job.

Supply technicians ensure that all of the supplies and services necessary for Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) operations are available.

They may be responsible for customer service, purchasing, inventory control and order management.

These tasks apply to food, fuel, heavy equipment, spare parts, office supplies and clothing.

This trade is also available in the Reserve Force (part time).

Before applying, it is strongly recommended to look at the online descriptive information as well as the video for your selected trade: http://bit.ly/FAC168E3 TASKS: Manage the purchasing, warehousing, shipping, receiving, stock control and disposal of obsolete stock and equipment Receive, handle and prepare items for shipment Operate military vehicles weighing up to 10 tonnes and materials-handling equipment such as forklifts Process invoices and prepare shipping documents Order material from internal and external sources and purchase supplies Deliver supplies and provide services to operational units Perform recordkeeping, stocktaking and inventory control Maintain accounting and financial records Process and coordinate repair and disposal functions CONDITIONS: In the Regular Force, your work location is not garanteed since you may be asked to work anywhere in Canada.

However, if you only want to work in your area, the Reserve Force may be an alternative.

Military personnel can be asked to work on atypical schedules.

Salary increases according to the rank and experience of the member according to the rates of pay applicable on April 1, 2017.
