Future challenges The Generalist trainer reports to the Superintendent HR – Corporate.

His responsibilities include: Identify training needs and strategies based on improvements in health, safety and equipment or vehicle techniques.

Develop training plans according to the standards and characteristics of the various equipment and vehicles.

Participate in the production of training materials (technical documentation, audio-video support, etc.) and define the didactic means and tools required for training.

Ensure the smooth running of training courses and ensure their quality; more specifically training on lockout, confined space, work at height, hot work, cold work, harnesses, overhead cranes, WHMIS.

Participate in induction training for new employees as well as trainings related to planned outages and training re-certification.

Collaborates with the recruitment team for the technical evaluation of candidates.

Collaborates with other departments in setting up and / or maintaining various training projects.

Provide training to employees and contractors who are outside the site.

Produces the weekly, monthly reports and statistics required for the training department.

All other related tasks.

what we are looking for College Diploma DEC in OHSW or other field with equivalent experience.

Have 3 to 5 years of experience as a trainer or a similar function (a different training-experience combination considered equivalent will also be considered).

Good knowledge of construction machinery.

Hold a valid driver’s license.

Excellent knowledge of the various software of the MS Office suite and other training platform.

French and English bilingualism (spoken and written).

Nice to have Knowledge in Mechanic standards.

Knowledge in Mining industry.
