FEDNAV: Port disbursement analyst


This is a Full-time position in Montreal, QC posted March 30, 2020.

W e are currently seeking a Port Disbursement Analyst, to join the Operations Department and assist with Port disbursements finalization.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING | THE ROLE Key responsibilities will be to: Update DA Desk production list Reply to DA Desk’s daily questions in disbursement folder Audit and approve of DAs as per payables priority list Re-bill charterers’ expenses as needed Print tug invoices for US and CAN as needed Liaise with payables on account reconciliations Review and reply to DA Desk’s (request for extension of DA agent query list) DA-desk monthly invoice verification + Marine Service Fees (MNSF) Report Back up for Documentation Analyst Add/remove users or modify passwords in DA Desk Answer queries from Receivables regarding items re-billed to Charterers Answer queries from Owners’ dept.


items re-billed to Owners Keep head-owners cost allocation sheet updated Keep agency agreement sheet updated and copied to DA-Desk Statistics on DA’s or agents as required Make sure off hire(s) discovered in the Final Disbursement Account (FDA) have been done/issued Keep DA desk up to date with Agency and Tugs agreements Liaise with operators in Montreal, Singapore, and Antwerp regarding DA Queries International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) distribution list for Fednav Operations Adjustments to IMOS port numbers WHAT YOU BRING | THE PERSON The ideal candidate has: A post-secondary diploma in a relevant field or a combination of education and relevant experience A minimum of 1 year in a similar role Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook Excellent communications skills, mostly English (verbal and written), French is an asset Strong organization skills Dedicated team player Self-motivated Honesty, integrity, and a respect toward community and environment define our values.
