Company DescriptionPart production company, part tech company, at DanceBUG we do it all We are a unique production and technology company that specializes in creating innovative software for the dance industry, as well as coordinating their photography and videography services across the globe.

We even have our own showThe Show: COVID-19 shook the dance industry as studios closed their doors, and events cancelled across the world.

Out of hard and heartbreaking times, DanceBUG triumphantly launched The DanceBUG Show promoting positivity, unity, and keeping spirits high during an unprecedented period.

The show is hosted by a media production team all of whom (believe it or not), know more about Star Wars and Back to the Future than they do about dance.

Episodes include special guest interviews (including dancers, choreographers, teachers, competitions and studios), “Karly’s Terrific TikTok” highlighting fantastic dance combos, “Billy’s TV Pick” featuring dance scenes from old tv shows, “Inside Dance” with Anastasia Miller Burns from Inside Dance Magazine and exclusive competitive dance performance videos available nowhere else.

The DanceBUG Show is not to be missed and streams through the DanceBUG App and www.Dancebug.Com/show.What We OfferAmple opportunity for skill developmentCompetitive compensation Job DescriptionWe are searching for a talented and self-motivated Editor and Technical Assistant to support our Director and Producer with in-studio live-switching and other technical support as needed.

This person will also need to provide post-production support.ResponsibilitiesProvide support with live-switching using an ATEM Television Studio and other ‘hacks’ and devices used to create a nimble production environmentTake prerecorded interviews and gather relevant content from social media (Instagram, Facebook etc) to use as cover / B-Roll footage throughout the interviewTrim and finalize the interview as neededOther duties as assignedContract Type / Duration: Full Time, permanent, starting End of March.

Will require work on Saturday.Position Location: Currently in Concord, moving north (location tbd)Compensation: $700/week, benefits after 3 monthsQualificationsCollege or University degree in a related fieldAvailable to work on Saturdays (for our live show)Access to a reliable internet connection that supports the ability to download / upload lots of contentMust be a self-starter motivated to complete tasks in a timely manner as we work on a tight scheduleGood knowledge of post-production video and audio formats, file conversions, etcMust have an excellent working knowledge of Adobe PremiereGood knowledge of camera operation (we use Canon XA15s)Valid drivers license, access to a reliable vehicle requiredAdditional InformationTo apply please send us a copy of your resume and samples of your editing work.DanceBUG is an equal opportunity employer.
