POSITION OVERVIEW As part of BDC’s digital transformation, we are looking for candidates who are passionate with innovation and wish to contribute to the development of BDC’s financing services and others offered to our clients via our digital channels.

Our objective is to provide an intuitive self-service and omnichannel client experience.

The development of our digital services is based on automation, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence in an agile delivery mode.

In this context, we are looking for a delivery lead for our Digital Financing and Client Onboarding products.

Reporting to the Execution Lead, the Delivery Lead is part of the Business Solutions Delivery team and leads one (or more) of the BDC’s products’ value execution.

In collaboration with the Product Manager and the Domain Architect, he or she is responsible for all new developments, enhancements, ongoing maintenance, and production support across all application or processes under the responsibility of their product group(s).

The Delivery lead facilitates the agile release processes and assists the teams in delivering continuous value.

He or she communicates with stakeholders, escalates impediments, helps manage risk, and drives improvement.

Operating as a servant leader, the Delivery lead develops a high performing team and optimizes team work within a DevOps environment within the value stream and with other product groups.

He ensures that the teams management related issues, such as budgeting, reporting, scheduling, and people are addressed in a timely and proactive manner.

The delivery lead oversees the execution work of the team’s resources in the context of a matrix team that does not report directly to him.

In addition, he or she must develop KPIs and reports and meet established service level agreements to ensure optimal availability and reliability of applications within the product group.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET Lead the evolution of products under their responsibility to new directions and help transform the Information Technology group and other business lines toward the target operating model of a product delivery approach.Manage timely and high-quality continuous deliveries of the product increments, including requirements coming from projects and programs, in respect of the identified constraints (ex.

: Marketing campaigns launch date).Collaborate with the Enterprise Project Management Office on program execution and operational excellence.Partner with product managers and product owners to define and prioritize product roadmaps and backlogs and negotiate dependencies between products, coordinating the release schedule, and initiating or closing squads, following Agile principles.Assist in tracking the execution of features and facilitate periodic synchronization events.Help resolve issues related to scope, resource allocation, implementation, dependencies, and other factors, with other product and platform teams.Improve product groups cost effectiveness and client-valued services.Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to ensure BDC’s technical environment can provide “best in class” service, streamline processes and implement Agile and other best practices.Contribute to the overall strategic direction and management of the product group by helping them to set priorities and establish goals and initiatives.Improve methodologies and processes related to the continuous delivery pipelines.Help the group identify providers of hardware, software, and outsourced services.

Keep abreast of current and emerging technologies and best practices in the financial market and in the broader information technology industry.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Bachelor’s degree in IT or in a similar field (master’s degree an asset).At least 15 years’ experience in a variety of systems and technology leadership roles, preferably in financial services delivery.Global view of technical and business environments (ability to see the big picture).Ability to facilitate product design using Design Thinking techniques and strong knowledge in user experience.Experience in delivering digital solutions facing mass marketAbility to demonstrate influence and impact.Put client centricity at the heart of everything.Practical experience in managing business applications.Ability to assess issues at the tactical level and make recommendations for their resolution.Exceptional communicating and negotiating skills, including in third-party supplier contexts.Comfort as both a leader and a team player.Ease in a strategic and tactical context.Be open and appreciate openness in others.Bilingual (French and English).
