What Will You Work On?.

The AIR MILES Reward Program is looking for an innovative, collaborative, and future oriented tech visionary to join our executive leadership team as the Chief Technology Officer, reporting into the President of AIR MILES As the CTO, you will be part of the executive leadership team and be working in partnership with that to achieve the strategic implementation of all aspects of technology to help realize the business goals of the organization.

You will set the overall vision and strategy, including architectural design, building out business capabilities and establishing clear and measurable benchmarks for success How will you create impact?.

Drive vision and purpose; Develop and champion AIR MILES technology strategy, and own the technology vision across all technical functions of the organization.

Effectively communicate technology strategy to management, Associates, Partners and stakeholders.

Align roadmaps and guide delivery across multiple teams and business partners.

Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms (including web application frameworks and the deployment stack) for delivering the company’s services.

Ensure the reliable operation of the technology infrastructure and systems.

Assess IT risks and design, implement and test business continuity and disaster recovery procedures to mitigate those risks.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the protection of company IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of corporate and personal information.

Direct procurement of technology and services from suppliers/vendors.

Develop, track, and control the development and deployment of annual operating and capital budgets.

Lead technology expenditure management and limiting risks by setting up controls and contingency plans.

Build a high performing, engaged, equitable, inclusive and diverse technology leadership team.

Let’s Talk About You:.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.

10 years of experience as a Technology Leader.

Deep, hands-on technical expertise in the design and implementation of cloud-based, real-time tech stacks in complex IT environments.

Knowledge of MarTech stacks, micro-services architecture, and data management processes (relational databases, data lakes and real-time data processing).

A strategic mindset, ability to drive vision and purposeful work, and demonstrated ability to develop, inspire and implement a change management agenda.

Ability to develop creative, forward-thinking ideas while balancing the need to be nimble/responsive and adaptable to new opportunities with the requirement to ensure controls and security, as well as effectively handle tactical challenges.

Results focused with a strong track record of meeting strategic technology targets and deliverables amidst operational demands.

Proven leadership and people management skills demonstrated through motivating and directing the work of diverse, cross functional and multi-disciplinary teams.

Leadership capabilities which we place value on at AIR MILES includes driving vision and purpose, a strategic mindset, planning and aligning priorities, managing ambiguity, authenticity, being vulnerable, being useful, valuing differences, and instilling trust within your team Demonstrated ability to plan and align priorities.

Strong project management and budgeting experience, and significant experience in developing and planning IT projects, negotiating agreements, and achieving outcomes expected within anticipated timeframes.

Organizational design skills
– able to assess the current structure and envision a future structure more closely aligned with the business.

Demonstrated ability to solve conflict creatively with multiple stakeholders regarding conflicting demands for time and resources using ingenuity and flexibility.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with business and tech leaders across the organization.
