Advanced Analytic Specialist


This is a Part-time position in Longueuil, QC posted June 16, 2022.

As a Advanced Analytic Specialist at BRP, you will support the transformation of the company by delivering insights and reporting visibility to the finance team supporting internal clients.

The finance analytics team is responsible for working with business and finance leaders to identify reporting and analytical requirements and translate them into insightful reports, dashboards and models.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead, design, build, deliver and maintain world-class models and reporting for the finance business domain using Excel and Power BI Remediate current on-premise reporting solutions in order to leverage best in-class cloud capabilities Develop deep understanding on various finance processes.

Support building process documentation and provide automation solutions Participate in business and executive meetings to gather requirements and make recommendations around reporting / BI solutions Use knowledge of the specific data products available and visualization capabilities to enhance requirements and provide insightful suggestions to finance stakeholders Prioritize work with the team and ensure there is a forward-looking roadmap for features to be delivered on the data products the finance team is tasked with Provide strategic audience recommendations to stakeholders Mentor and trains internal stakeholders in analytics Collaborate with management in assessing new best practices and opportunities to improve processes YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance) Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Economics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field 8 years’ experience in working for large projects and solid experience with ETL, data analysis and profiling, data mapping, data modeling, data lakes, and analytics Very strong Excel skills including advanced formulas and macros Strong experience with SQL, Power BI/Query, DAX, R, Python and Low Code applications for data analysis Experience and knowledge of Snowflake data platform Experience with statistics and machine learning techniques Capable of prioritizing multiple projects while still achieving deadlines Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to connect the dots and tell stories using data Detail-oriented person who is passionate about quality and enthusiastic about new technology WELCOME TO BRP We’re a world leader in recreational vehicles and boats, creating innovative ways to move on snow, water, asphalt, dirt and even in the air.
