3D Modeler – Hard surfaces

Reflector Entertainment is a cross-platform entertainment company committed to creating rich, innovative Storyworlds that give rise to timeless mythologies. We believe each medium is unique and can be leveraged for a tailored storytelling approach. We are currently building a catalogue of IPs that we will be developing into film, tv series, podcasts, comic books, graphic novels, video games, AR/VR experiences and other new medium.

Reflector draws on the combined strengths and resources of the co-founders: Guy Laliberté (founder of Cirque du Soleil) and Alexandre Amancio (writer, director, producer and AAA game developer behind Assassin’s Creed). The company is based in Montreal and is a division of Lune Rouge.

Our team is growing fast and we are currently looking for AAA talent that will drive our ambitious, large scale projects.


The candidate will work within a collaborative multidiscipline environment, to create models in within the technical requirements of the game to ensure a synergy between the environment, its content and the technology used;


  • Work with the Artistic Director;
  • Produce high quality art assets suitable for production both technically and artistically;
  • Create detailed high poly digital models, game res models, UV’s bakes, and texture maps;
  • Create and texture 3D models from minimal reference images or concept art;
  • Create shaders, materials and texture to bring art to life and stay within pipeline and performance constraints;
  • Ensure the production and delivery your parts of the project in accordance with the established schedule;
  • Participate in the creative process suggesting concepts and creating storyboards;
  • Regard and contribute improvements to the asset creation pipeline;
  • Follow a specific pipeline workflow to make sure all assets are game ready;
  • Work effectively with the programming and design teams by representing visual considerations throughout production;
  • Act as a resource of experience for the team: based on your knowledge and skills, assist, train and support;
  • Lookout for novelties in animation and graphic design;
  • Perform all other responsibilities and/or tasks relating to the position.


  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience as a 3D Modeler – Hard surfaces in the game industry;
  • College, university, or self-taught education in 2D and 3D art;
  • Shipped at least 1 game as a 3D Modeler- Hard surfaces, preferably on a ‘AAA’ console title;
  • Experience in 3D art content production including modeling, UV work, texture mapping, high poly to low poly workflow;
  • Strong foundation and understanding of light, color, shading, and style;
  • Excellent sculpting and hard Surface modeling skills;
  • Good understanding of architecture and natural landscape environments;
  • Firm understanding of how mechanical objects function in the real world;
  • Strong fundamental art skills: silhouettes, shape, form etc. Able to interpret 2D art direction;
  • Proficient with software tools and pipeline (Maya, 3Ds Max, ZBrush, Mudbox, Substance painter and Photoshop);
  • Ability to adapt to change; Self-motivated and pro-active;
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French (both oral and written).
