Looking to join a dynamic team of engineers and geoscientists Join Company, one of the worlds largest engineering and consulting firms.This position is within the Rock Mechanics team in the Environmental division of Company.

The senior engineer will work with multidisciplinary teams dedicated to earth sciences.

The Rock Mechanics team provides a full range of services for mines, quarries, tunnels as well as hydroelectric and other civil infrastructure to our clients in the private and public sectors.Given our recent growth, Company is currently looking for a senior rock mechanics engineer to join our Rock Mechanics team based in offices in Ontario and Quebec.WHAT YOU TYPICAL WEEK COULD LOOK LIKEProvide rock mechanics and task execution for geotechnical design deliverables for surface and underground mines, and slope stability projectsTechnical management and direction of site investigations and reviewing technical reportsSenior advisor or review for geotechnical engineering analyses of slope stability, underground infrastructure stability, ground support design and geomechanical risk management practices; Collaboration and participation in technical discussions with team membersParticipate in proposal effortsOccasionally travel to project sites primarily within CanadaProvide leadership and mentoring to junior staffOccasionally participate in business development activities like national or international conferencesOccasionally participate in preparation of scientific/technical articles for technical conferences in geotechnics and rock mechanics.WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT YOU, IF YOU HAVEBachelors degree in civil engineering, geological engineering or mine engineering with academic specialization or geotechnical practice.12 years of experience in rock mechanics engineering in underground and open-pit (including quarries) mining environments, slope stability, tunneling, hydropower and/or other civil infrastructuresMembership in an industry-recognized professional organization in Canada.High level of proficiency in a geotechnical software packages e.G.

SlopeW®, Rocscience Suite, Map3D®, Flac2D® and UDEC®.Field experience related to the geotechnical design of open pit and underground mines, including data collection and geomechanical data verification, assessment and classificationPossess a valid drivers license.
