This is a Full-time position in Montréal, QC posted November 30, 2018.

The technical advisor communicates directly with the customer and deals with meeting his expectations for maintenance and repairs. This position provides the link between the mechanic and the customer. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential to succeed in this role and enhance the customer experience.

Customer service

Provide excellent customer service and a consistent commitment to meeting the needs of the customer and their vehicle.Respond quickly to customer inquiries, by phone or in person.Understand the customer’s needs and offer a complete solution.Share ideas and suggestions to enhance the customer experience in the car center.Manage customer issues quickly.Manage delicate situations with professionalism.Ensure effective communication with customers during repairs or maintenance.exploitation

Perform and analyze repair orders with customers.Estimate the cost and duration of maintenance and repair work. Ensure that the final invoice corresponds to the estimate, and that the vehicle is delivered at the agreed time.Liaise between customers and mechanics and manage the status of purchase orders.Schedule the schedule for maintenance and repair work.Use a work order management software.Improve your skills by taking part in training and coaching activities.Present potential opportunities or suggestions to the director of the auto center to make the car center more profitable and increase sales.Respect the policies of the car center, the store and the company, as well as the program and the health and safety rules.Perform other duties as required

Knowledge of market trends in the automotive service industry.Knowledge and understanding of the mechanical components of automobiles.Ability to work effectively with auto parts ordering software and work order management.Basic math and keyboarding skills.Good practical knowledge of CoStar, an asset.Experience in a comparable position at a Canadian Tire auto center an asset.Valid driver’s license in the province of employment.

In accordance with store policies and practices for health and safety:

Standing and walking for 8 hours.Lift and haul merchandise regularly, frequently and without assistance, as needed. The weight of the goods may vary from “light” to “heavy”.Raise and turn a load repeatedly for a quarter.Lift a load over the shoulder and from the floor to the shoulder or waist.Climb up and down, carrying goods.Walk while carrying a load and push / pull a load as needed.Rotate, turn, reach and work above shoulder lev
