Role and ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Marketing and Business Development Manager, the candidate will be responsible for writing and producing various documents, primarily service proposals, and will support the Manager on various business development initiatives.

More specifically, the candidate will:Prepare service proposals (including information searches, writing, reviewing texts, coordinating translation, editing, formatting and production);Collaborate on conceiving, writing and reviewing marketing and business development tools, such as information sheets, biographies, presentations, firm experiences, and candidacies for the various acknowledgment contests and programs within the industry;Ensure that tools comply with the firm’s key messages, guidelines and styles;Give advice to lawyers on business development;Participate in the planning, execution and proper conduct of client audits, including developing presentation books;Participate in business development activities and provide support for them;Analyze different kinds of data;Participate in brainstorming meetings to develop new concepts for all the activities of the Marketing Department.Required Knowledge and ExperienceUniversity degree in marketing, law or communications, or an equivalent combination of studies and experience;Minimum of five (5) years of experience in writing, ideally in preparing service proposals, including information research on specific targets and on the market;Innate sense of communication, both oral and written;Fully bilingual;Impeccable writing in English and French;Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to navigate through various kinds of software (InDesign and other graphic design software would be an asset);Creativity and intellectual curiosity;Thorough, detail-oriented and conscientious;Ressourceful, motivated and professional;Organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;Ability to work under pressure;Interpersonal skills and highly developed sense of customer service;Occasional availability outside of business hours.About FaskenFasken is a leading international business law and litigation firm with more than 700 lawyers across nine offices, on four continents.
