Marketing Manager

Job Title: Marketing Manager                                           Department: Marketing

Reporting to: Managing Partner, Finance & Corporate Strategy


Job Purpose:  

Datavalet is looking to hire a Marketing Manager in its Montreal office. Reporting to the Managing Partner, Finance & Corporate Strategy, we are looking for a highly entrepreneurial Marketing Manager willing to roll up his/her sleeves in launching a new department.


Key Responsibilities and Accountability:

Specifically, you will advise on company marketing strategy and company branding/identity, develop and lead content marketing efforts, help evaluate direct marketing and inside sales activities and be the service provider/consultant to the Product group.



  • 5 to 10 years of experience in similar and related roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or business administration, or any combination of similar studies/experience
  • Demonstrated experience and success managing a marketing team, including planning work and measuring performance
  • Experience building a team, including selecting, developing and evaluating personnel to promote a thriving and effective team
  • Experience in software and/or technology-enabled services
  • Experience dealing with outside agencies
  • Proven ability to work with cross functional teams without formal authority
  • Proven project management skills
  • Proficiency in both English and French languages


Other Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in managing communications
  • Experience in supporting sales activities including tradeshows and event planning
  • Support internal branding activities alongside management and HR
  • Experience with market research activities
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication, skills including the ability to prepare and deliver professional documents and presentations externally to all levels of an organization
