Manager Partnership & Sponsorship

National Bank

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted November 2, 2021.

Employee Status: Regular
Schedule: Full-time

As Manager of the Partnership and Sponsorship team, you will be responsible for the National Bank cross-sector strategy. You will seek, develop and negotiate partnerships.
As a natural communicator, you will create lasting relationships with various internal and external partners, and also ensure synergy between key stakeholders.
You will also develop practices and implement the performance metrics of our partnerships to optimize the portfolio.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Partnerships, Events and Relationship Marketing, you will be responsible for the cross-sector strategy of National Bank partnerships and sponsorships.
Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage corporate partnerships and strategic alliances
  • Ensure that the portfolio is strategically managed in compliance with business lines’ sponsorship strategies and needs
  • Understand sectors’ issues to be able to identify and seek potential sponsorships related to their business needs
  • Present analyses and recommendations for investment purposes
  • Oversee the negotiation of agreements with partners and develop recommendations for drafting contracts
  • Manage a team and develop practices while incorporating more of the digital component
  • Ensure synergy between key stakeholders related to the management of strategic sponsorships and partnerships
  • Identify and develop performance indicators for measuring the impact and value of sponsorships
  • Analyze the performance results of the sponsorship portfolio and strategic alliances, and adapt them as needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or the equivalent
  • At least 8 years of experience in a similar position
  • At least 5 years of experience in personnel management
  • Strong strategic analysis and summarizing skills
  • Engaging leadership style
  • Excellent negotiation and business development skills
  • Autonomy, diligence and able to manage multiple files
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and French
