Machinist

This is a Contract position in Laval, QC posted December 3, 2021.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for machining on a conventional machine independently. Must be able to use all types of parts while respecting the technical drawings and tolerances requested within a reasonable time.

KNOW HOW:
• Operate MILLING MACHINE, GRINDING MACHINE, LATHE, COLUMN DRILLING MACHINE.
• Communicate in French or English verbally and in writing in order to be.
• Read, interpret and work with a plan (technical drawing) and written or verbal instructions.
• Use and correctly read all precision measuring instruments necessary to accomplish your work.
• Operate a forklift and lifting device (skill card required).
• Have a toolbox with the minimum personal tools to do your job.

** Possibility of part-time on weekends **

Permanent, full time, DAY shift.

To become a machinist with us, you need:

  • AEC / DEP in machining techniques or 1-2 years of experience in the use of conventional equipment;
  • Forklift driver’s certification;
  • A good ability to read and correctly use precision measuring instruments;
  • Fluency in French or English.
