Team Lead, Manufacturing – UpstreamOur client, is looking for a Team Lead, Manufacturing Upstream for their Biologics Manufacturing Centre in Montreal, QC.

The Team Lead, Manufacturing – Upstream will support the Biologics Manufacturing Centre which will help to accelerate Canada’s capacity to produce, access and supply vaccines and other biologics.

Certified as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliant, the facility will have full end-to-end production capability for mammalian cell-based biologics.

The selected candidate would be someone who shares core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.Responsibilities: Responsible for GMP manufacturing unit operations and overall product quality.Hiring and training of a production team, and for writing and establishing processes and procedures for Biologics Manufacturing CentreLead the team to support equipment qualification and scheduling of equipment and personnel for manufacturing.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or related discipline.

Master degree in Science, Engineering or related discipline is an assetSignificant experience with upstream processing (e.G.

cell scale-up, bioreactors, clarification).Experience working with single-use technology.Experience supervising GMP pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations.Experience leading and managing human resources.Experience planning and scheduling of both physical and human resources.Advanced knowledge of GMP requirements as applied to pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical products.Ability to create, review and revise SOPs, work instructions, test methods and processes.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Language Requirement: Bilingual, English and FrenchMust hold valid Security Clearance – Secret (II)
