Regional Manager, Purchasing And Stores

Eacom Timber Corporation

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted June 17, 2022.

We are looking for a Regional Manager, Purchasing and Stores based in Montreal or at one of our Ontario or Quebec sites of EACOM Eastern operations of Interfor.   

Reporting to the General Manager, Finance Operations, and assisted by a dedicated team of Buyers and Inventory Coordinators based in the Ontario and Quebec sites, you will be responsible to structure and administer purchasing platform from which all Interfor Eastern division operations can secure goods and services in the most efficient, cost-saving, and value-added manner.    

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead, guide and supervise his team composed of staff dedicated to inventory, corporate purchasing as well as buyers for each site.  
  • Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to maximize results and tie down Purchasing Department functionality adapted to the business. 
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and develop strategies to achieve financial goals, including cost saving initiatives related to utilities purchases. 
  • Negotiate and manage master agreements with major vendors. 
  • Provide support and expertise to negotiating contracts for capital projects. 
  • Work with vendors to consolidate and standardize parts inventory at all mills. 
  • Manage mobile equipment leasing program. 
  • Ensure stores reorganization and functional improvement.

  • Action oriented and minded towards continuous improvement 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Marketing or in any relevant field 
  • Over than 10 years of relevant experience in similar role in manufacturing industry 
  • Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) certification (asset) 
  • Bilingual, French and English 
  • Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite and integrated management software packages such as SAP 
  • Be available and interested in traveling approximately 25% of the time 
  • Possess a valid driver's license
