Noovo is creating a news service for TV and digital offering a new voice to Quebecers with a modern tone and format.

We are looking for a Production Content Researcher with impeccable French and a good knowledge of English to join our expert team of producers, editors, technicians.

We will focus on bringing an exciting new voice to daily news for Quebecers and want to inform Quebecers in a different way; more in tune with today’s consumer habits.

The successful candidate has excellent news judgment, and the highest standards.

Position: Production Content Researcher Montreal, QCSalary: Commensurate with qualifications and experienceJob status: Regular – Full Time Responsibilities:Research, organize and prepare files for the needs of the news programs they are assigned toDevelop and maintain a solid network of contacts, including personalities, businesses, government officials, organizations, associations, experts, analysts, etc.Secure the presence of guests for shows and carry out the necessary follow-up to ensure they are present in the studio at the required timeGreet guests at the station and prepare them to appear on air with the producer of the show (microphone, set directions, etc.) and accompany them again after their on-air appearanceCarry out pre-interviews to ensure the soundness and relevance of the guests, laying the groundwork for the host, obtain visual material as needed, and ensure the material is of sufficient quality for broadcastingFollow-up with the administrative assistant when payment of a compensation is requiredCarry out any other related task Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in journalism, film, communications or equivalent Minimum of three years of experience in research, on TV or the radioAbility to identify the best guests and convince them to come on air; results orientedStrong writing ability for preparing research files and leadsBroad knowledge of local, national and international newsAbility to identify the best topics, and demonstrated creativityHigh tolerance for stress, and the ability to work under tight deadlinesDemonstrated autonomy Knowledge of television studios, in news an assetFluent French, good command of English Bilingualism is required (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
