Logistics Coordinator – Maritime transport

Canadian Wood Products is a company that specializes in the sale and distribution of various types of wood and related products internationally.

We are currently recruiting a logistics coordinator (marine) for our export products. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and to put your knowledge to use.

Responsibilities and Functions

  • Coordinate the hardwood export activities in the Middle East of the company (produce service requests, booking, follow-ups);
  • Negotiate the rates associated with the transportation of the goods;
  • Coordinate sea freight operations for export;
  • Manage all the documentation required for the proper functioning of the activities (customs papers, packing list, insurance certificates, bank contact, etc.);
  • Follow up with customers and suppliers;
  • Ensure follow-ups when breaking or damaging the products;
  • Perform billing services;
  • Ensure the development and solicitation of potential customers;
  • Follow-up for accreditation, audits and membership renewal of the FSC file. 

Qualifications and training

  • Technical college diploma related to logistics;
  • Fluent bilingualism both oral and written (Essential);
  • Mastery of the office suite (Essential);
  • Knowledge of SAP Business One software (Asset);
  • Mastery and knowledge of customs legislation (Asset);
  • Mastery of drafting Multimodal transport contracts (Asset);
  • Experience and knowledge of Incoterms (Asset);
  • Experience with an international clientele and mastery of international geography (Asset)
