Technical Support Agent

This is a Full-time position in Montréal, QC posted November 22, 2018.

We are looking for a technical support agent in Montreal.

The purpose of the position:

We are currently looking for a technician who will be responsible for computer hardware support and for solving computer problems.

A typical work day:

  • Support user service and technology support requests for hardware and software, and implement an optimal solution in collaboration with our external vendor;
  • Simulate or recreate problems to solve them, and perform the various technical tests to ensure proper functioning;
  • Participate in the implementation of development projects or major changes in hardware or software, sometimes within tight deadlines;
  • Ensure the documentation relating to the installations, computer equipment and our infrastructure is up to date;
  • Verify that the computer equipment inventory is taken and updated;
  • Carry out imagined, configured and shelled station deliveries at the different sites.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A computer science degree and a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience (or any other combination of education and experience deemed relevant in a large company);
  • A good knowledge of Windows technology infrastructure and workstations (desktops and laptops);
  • A good knowledge of mobile and tablet technologies (IOS, Android);
  • Knowledge of how to use the Office suite tools (Outlook, Word and Excel, Office 365);
  • Availability evenings and weekends for ad hoc intervention during exceptional needs;
  • Use of ITSM (IT Service Management) and ITAM (IT Asset Management) systems;
  • Bilingualism (French and English), oral and written;
  • A high ability to work under pressure and with different user profiles;
  • The ability to know how to manage priorities efficiently and quickly;
  • A good sense of organization and be structured in his work;
  • Tendency to be action-oriented, with focus on customer satisfaction, sense of urgency and results;
  • The ability to be customer-oriented, empathic, understanding and patient with users;
  • Capability to learn in a continuous process and independently;
  • The ability to train in specific technical aspects;
  • Able to work with a large degree of autonomy.
