Job Description InVision is a progressive and strategic recruitment provider focused on servicing technical professions encompassing Information Technology, Engineering and Skilled Trades across Canada.Our client in the banking industry is currently seeking a Cloud Development Lead to join their growing team on a 6 month contract to start.If you are a transformation actor in our Cloud revolution and are tasked to deploy DevOps best practices by using best of breed tools.

You are a hands-on person, equipped with an Agile mindset.

You are a Cloud jack of all trade, know all about DevOps, a command-line guru, that see solutions and optimizations where everyone else sees problems.

You strive at automating all the things in the Cloud!Your roleYou actively participate in the realization of our Cloud vision by leading a team working hard to develop our Cloud platform.

This means using your technical chops to mentor a team of 10 developers working with a Cloud/DevOps mindset.Here’s the technical environment in which you would evolve at first:Collaboration (JIRA/Confluence)Source Code Management (Git-Bitbucket)Continuous Integration servers (Jenkins 2 with pipeline as code concept)Artefacts Management (Nexus, Artifactory)Quality Management Dashboards (SonarQube)Provisioning (Ansible, Terraform)More provisioning and orchestration tools (Docker/k8s)Deployed on multi cloud environments (private with OpenShift, publics with AWS, GCP-GKE)Applications Monitoring (AppDynamics, Datadog, etc.) to measure that all those wonderful applications deliver the expected business value to its customersAs a Cloud Development Lead, you are a generalist in all things Cloud/DevOps, but you also have a specialization in mentoring software development teams; you have an excellent knowledge of design patterns, you develop using everything as code concept, with languages such as Terraform, Python or Golang.

You have a good knowledge of CI-CD tools and you develop following all the same best practices used for software application development.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership/mentorship to successfully deliver the Cloud FoundationDevelop Product’s architecture and design with the help of the development teamEnsure that the team develop following the industry’s DevOps best practices (such as TDD, IaC, etc.)All the development you do uses everything as code paradigm and your code commits trigger full CI-CD pipeline up to production systemsAll the development you do is tested using test automation, developed at the right level, based on needs and contextEverything that you put in production is monitored so that automatic fixes can take place in case of problems (using blue-green and-or canary deployments patterns)Everything that you put in production follows the High Availability (HA) best practicesYou work collaboratively with the bank’s operations teams to ensure that developed solution work well in the bank’s contextQualifications:University degree in related fields with 5-10 years of experience or equivalent experienceBilingual (spoken/written) French and English ideal, but not mandatoryYou master at least one of the following Cloud: AWS, GCP and have minimal knowledge of the other one if applicableYou know what the Periodic table of DevOps tools is (and if not, when you’ll see it, you’ll get it!) and you master at least one tool per category on the tableYou have an above average security awareness mindsetApplication Process:All Qualified candidates will be contacted.InVision is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind:It is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
