Support Engineer

Summary of the job position:

Engineer responsible for analyzing turbine conditions and developing solutions to technical issues. This role will report on and continuously improve Service performance. The team supports field technicians and the operations team to improve quality and efficiency of all scheduled and unscheduled maintenances.

Main responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to field service and the Operations department

• Assure technical improvements through analysis and resolution of faults/warnings

• Advise and implement work instructions as necessary

• Maintain up-to-date specialized knowledge of technical instructions (ex. TSIs)

• Performance analysis and troubleshooting of ENERCON’s fleet of wind turbines in Canada

• Provide technical solutions to unsolved issues within Canada

• Professional correspondence to management and clients

• Analyse and address under performance of wind turbines (ex: power curve)

• Validate international work instructions for the Canadian market (ex. TSIs)

• Analyze, prioritize and resolve the highest impact technical problems on turbines

• Provide technical reports for clients

• Support Training center occasionally

Your qualifications:

• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanical between 3 and 5 years of experience

• Details focused and able to meet short deadlines

• Competent in professional communication

• Proactive, demonstrates confidence and promotes teamwork

• Analytical and problem solving aptitudes to understand and clarify complex technical issues

• Bilingual (French and English)

• Data analysis skills

• Strong personal computer skills with in-depth experience in MS Office Package

• Occasional travel required in Canada and Germany (up to 6 weeks per year)
