Reporting to the Director of Global Logistics, this position offers the rare opportunity to lead both supply chain modelling as well as defining and executing the inventory allocation strategy.

The incumbent will ideate and iterate through various scenarios to define our inventory allocation, while positively influencing our total cost of inventory holding, full-price sell through and total cost of order fulfillment.

Additionally, the position will drive the end to end capacity planning process from identifying potential B2C nodes to presenting cost-benefit analysis and quantifying the customer experience gains.The ideal candidate will be a deep-analysis problem solver with a knack of balancing short term constraints while building for the long term.ResponsibilitiesDesign optimal inventory flows, modes and nodes (locations) for our global network while doing scenario analysis and developing an implementation roadmap that balances total cost of fulfillment with vendor and customer experienceAcquire and apply knowledge of dynamic global trade agreements and incorporate them in the network plan; thereby generating value in duty and tax savingsDevelop network capacity forecast in consultation with FP& A, trade compliance and FC operations team; lead the business case for network expansionCollaborate with Data Science team to develop our inventory allocation and margin maximization algorithmKeeping the inventory allocation parameters updated, develop deep understanding of the logic and working with product and data science stakeholders towards continuously improving the outputSupport alternate fulfillment strategy like dropshipping and merchant owned inventoryBuild reporting and analytics on transshipments, stock-outs, capacity utilization / network health and drive improvement agenda with stakeholdersOwn the inventory allocation accuracy as a key metric and works on minimizing trans-shipments, stock-outs and fulfillment cost and timeManage trans-shipment planning and works with operations managers to execute the planQualificationsMinimum 4 years of experience in supply chain network design (preferably global supply chain)Grounds-up experience with optimal inventory allocation models and/or network optimization models is highly desirableBasic exposure to retail, e-commerce P& L, and its margin and cost componentsStrong data analytics and visualization skills; can handle complex, large data with confidence.

Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, Power BI and SQLBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or a related field; MBA in SCM or operations preferredTechnical supply chain experience with passion for solving complex problems in a high-growth environmentDemonstrated ability in developing business cases and converting them into actionable projectsExperience in business with international supply chain / import and export challenges, preferable in retailSkillsStrategic mindset, ability to merge siloed business problems into an integrated network strategyHighly analytical and customer focusedKnowledge of supply chain optimization with visibility of end to end value chainA self starter who creates and drives projects with minimal supervisionAgile cross-functional collaborator who is able to pace long-term projectsStrong stakeholder management with ability to anticipate risks and communicate / mitigate themAbility to multi-task with superior time management skills
