As a Software Developer, you will play a key role in designing, writing and testing code for new systems and software. Here’s an overview of the main tasks and requirements of the job:
Designing and writing code :
Design, write, read, test and correct code for new software.
Analyze information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or the modification of an existing system.
Evaluate relationships between programs, for example, whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would lead to undesired results in a related part.
Programming :
Program software and Internet and mobile applications.
Write, modify, integrate and test software code for e-commerce, Internet and mobile applications.
Maintenance and documentation:
Update existing computer programs.
Develop, implement and maintain functionalities that integrate effectively with existing software.
Write documentation for new software and updates.
Physical requirements :
Sitting for long periods.
Manual handling of equipment.
Repetitive motions.
Work environment:
The work environment is usually indoors, in a controlled environment, with physical proximity to others (e.g. sharing a desk).
Application knowledge and experience:
- PHP programming experience (a few years)
- JavaScript / jQuery programming experience (a few years)
- Experience in database management (MySQL or MariaDB)
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming methods (OOP)
- Knowledge of the following tools: Github, Sentry, others
