The mandate of our client’s Department of Cross-Sectional Solutions for Members and Customers is to develop and integrate large-scale solutions (major projects) for member-customers. More specifically, under the responsibility of the VP, Member and Customer Analytics, and the Chief Data Officer (CDO), our two projects: Uniqueness and Member-Customer Consent, are part of the Data and Movement Analytics program.

Using MDM (Master Data Management) tools combined with the development of microservices, the Member-Customer Uniqueness project aims to set up a cross-sectional data service to uniquely and reliably identify every current and future Member-Customer once, regardless of the products and services they consume. 

The incumbent will design and document the solution defined by the Integrator Solution Architect. Fully integrated into the project’s Agile squad, the Functional Analyst must master the requirements detailed by the various business lines and the software solution used, to ensure its full integration into the organization’s systems. The Analyst will work with other members in the squad responsible for the development and testing of specific components of the solution.

The Analyst will produce the right level of documentation and communication of detailed specifications for the many contributors involved. He/She will have strong spoken and written communication skills in French and English, be familiar with technologies and have the ability to integrate new ones. The Analyst will demonstrate leadership.

  • Support Business Analysts in defining requirements;
  • Contribute to the design of the software solution with the supplier’s solid collaboration;
  • Detail the business needs in order to provide input to the development squad and contributors of other systems to be integrated;
  • Act as a link between the Business Analysts and the squad;
  • Assume the role of advisor for the contributors on the detailed functional aspects of the solution;
  • Support the Developers and QA Analysts;
  • Write the required level of documentation;
  • Support the Product Owner (PO) in the development of the product backlog:
  • Ensure compliance with the scope of work assigned;
  • Promote adherence to best practices;
  • Work in close collaboration with the integrating solution architect and business experts.

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline;
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in functional analysis;
  • Customer and results oriented;
  • Knowledge of DataStage, EBX, MDM, JAVA;
  • Interpersonal communication and writing skills;
  • Communication with teams in French and English. Level expected:
    • French: 4/4
    • English: 3/4
