Day-to-day tasks:

As a Senior Business Analyst on our team, you will:
• Support business lines’ projects by understanding their business issues and processes and identifying their data needs
• Work closely with different IT teams and business lines
• Play a key role in creating, developing, and implementing the Bank’s master data governance
• Support Product Owners/business stakeholders in their decision-making and advise them on business value delivery prioritization
• Collaborate with different IT stakeholders (architects, developers, integrators) and provide an interdepartmental view of business needs to achieve all objectives and support the prioritization of new initiatives
• Lead business needs analysis workshops
• Analyze the data needs of business lines
• Write use cases, business rules, and various diagrams
• Ensure that solutions and elements of data architecture and functional analysis are in line with business requirements
• Ensure the traceability of both business and data requirements
• Map data processes and workflows
• Create and/or update value lists (data mapping)
• Perform various types of analysis (data, impacts, risks, issues)
• Inform stakeholders about change management efforts required
• Play an active role in defining integrated test strategies, preparing test scenarios, and validating tests

Ideal profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 7 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in a related field plus 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience conducting workshops and managing stakeholders
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry, an asset
• Knowledge of RESTful (JSON) and API services, an asset
• Knowledge of modelling (UML, BPMN)
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), an asset
• Knowledge of Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
• Knowledge of master data management, an asset
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French), essential
