Bilingual Career Counsellor

Montreal, QC (downtown)

Permanent, Part time (19 hours)

The opportunity

Help clients assess their strengths at work, provide them with a framework for resolving career planning issues and advise them on effective job search strategies so they can establish realistic career goals. Service is offered in-person and over the phone.

What you will do

• Provide career counselling or employment counseling over the phone and in-person;
• ​Administer orientation tests and interpret the results to explore career path;
• ​Provide a structure for clients to self-assess;
• Guide clients through the steps and the choice of effective strategies to adopt to achieve their professional goals
• Perform the administrative tasks required in connection with the assigned cases.

Who we are looking for

• Master's degree career counselling, guidance or related field;
• Member in good standing of the Order of career counsellors of Quebec;
• Bilingualism (French and English) is mandatory;
• 3 years of post-master's experience in the career counselling field;
• Experience working with an adult population;
• ​Experience administering and interpreting professional aptitude assessment tools (Level B).
