Senior analyst compensation (temporary 12 months)


This is a Full-time position in Montréal, QC posted March 13, 2018.


The Senior Analyst assists the Senior Manager, Global Payroll and Mobility Operations, in deploying and operationalizing initiatives set out in the organization’s strategic plan. He or she provides technical expertise in support of the processes led by the Employee Experience team and contributes to the implementation and administration of compensation-related programs and various employment conditions for the Montreal, New York and London offices. The incumbent works closely with other team members in the Total Rewards Community of Expertise (CoE) and Human Resources Technology.


  • Contribute to the deployment of compensation-related programs and processes for the organization and, for certain programs.
  • Ensure the coordination and on-going administration of the overall processes.
  • As a subject matter expert, actively participate to HRMS implementations/improvements in the area of compensation.
  • Play a key role in the coordination and administration of activities related to the compensation annual cycle (salary reviews, calculation of incentives, link with payroll, preparation of annual compensation statements).
  • Act as the custodian of compensation data, ensuring the highest level of data integrity and accuracy.
  • Prepare ad hoc and recurring reports in support of Total Rewards CoE and various other teams initiatives within the organization.
  • Work closely with the Total Rewards CoE in providing input in the development and the evolution of efficient compensation tools.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of HR and compensation processes, and document new procedures and practices.
  • Coordinate the annual audits of compensation activities.



  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or the equivalent
  • Must have compensation experience in an organization with a global footprint
  • Experience in the implementation and administration of compensation HRMS
  • Professional designation in human resources or compensation (CHRP, CCP) is an asset


  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the financial sector or with an organization with offices outside Canada

Knowledge & Skills

  • Expert knowledge of Excel and advanced functions, as well as other tools of the MS Office suite
  • Expert knowledge of HR management systems (ex. Workday, success factor)
  • Ability to make the link between compensation elements and translate them into HRMS outputs
  • Ability to manage and synthesize large amounts of data from diverse sources
  • Capacity to view/translate activities from a process persective
  • Detail orientedAbility to handle pressure and multi-task in fast-paced environment driven by deadlines
