This is a Full-time position in Montréal, QC posted January 3, 2019.

Location: Montreal

Our client provides live artistic entertainment services in Canada and internationally. They create and produce events and special projects, and provide creative content for various projects.

They are currently searching for an experienced Payroll Technician to join their team!

You would be responsible for:

– Preparing the Canadian payroll from A to Z as well as the US payroll for the various sites under your responsibility
– Validating the pay (after receiving it and before transmitting it) for each pay period
– Producing reports related to payroll (i.e. taxation, deductions, vacation pay)
– Answering employee questions about the payroll for the sites under your responsibility
– Processing year-end-related activities for the United States and Canada

Here is what you will need to be considered:

– 3 to 5 years of experience in processing the Canadian payroll from A-Z
– Bilingualism (English and French)
– Proficiency with Excel at an intermediate level (e.g. VLOOKUPs)
– Experience in using multiple payroll systems at once
– Ability to work in the “grey” zone when things are not structured
– Ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment
– Extreme adaptability
– Willingness to learn

The following are considered assets:

– ACP accreditation
– Knowledge/experience of the US payroll system
– ADP and Ceridian system experience
